HSVB will host a jamboree tonight beginning at 5:00. This will be your first chance to catch the defending Ozark 7 Tri-Champs in action! Come out and support the girls as they get ready to kick off their season. See you there!
Tomorrow is the big day! We can’t wait to welcome our students back for another great year! Here are a few things to keep in mind:
1. Drop off will be the same as last year. Buses will unload in the circle drive, elementary students will be dropped off in the back, and JH/HS students will be dropped off by the superintendents office. Please do not pull into the circle drive.
2. Pre-K and K parents, feel free to walk in with your kiddos for their first day!
3. If you have not turned in registration paperwork, please do so tomorrow.
4. There are no seconds the first two weeks of school to ensure we get our menu and ordering process done efficiently.
5. Please be patient with pick-up/drop-off times the first two weeks as we work to adjust accordingly. Please make sure the office has the correct locations.

Crowder will be here on Thursday at 9:00 am to administer placement tests for dual credit classes that would be taken at Golden City. If your 11th grade or 12th grade student is interested in taking these classes, and they have not already taken the placement tests, please have them be here during that time. Please email Mr. Long with any questions you may have.
Just a reminder about Back-To-School night on Thursday from 5:30-7:00! We can't wait to see everyone! Below is a list of class meetings that will take place in the library. Please try to be present for these meetings as they will have a good amount of information regarding the upcoming year.

6:30-7:00 - Senior Class Meeting
If your student played JH Volleyball last year, please return the uniform shorts to the school ASAP. The HS VB team has a game on Tuesday, August 16th and will need them.

“Golden City FFA had a great week at the Ozark Empire Fair with their floral arrangement’s, we had many blue ribbons and now the my will be displayed for the next 2 weeks at the Missouri State Fair! Hoping to have much more success in the coming weeks!”
Students came in this summer and created the arrangements to be shown and when the school year starts we will be making many more to show at local festivals and home shows! Stay tuned for more of our members success!
The elementary school supply fee will be $25 and it will be due at back-to-school night on August 18th. Students will only need to supply their own backpack and an extra pair of shoes for PE.
High School students will receive their list of supplies from each teacher in their syllabus on the first day. As a general rule, each student will need pencils, pens, notebooks and folders. Anything on top of that will be stated in the teacher's syllabus.
Just a reminder that HS Volleyball practice begins tomorrow from 6-8 pm. Players must have a current physical to participate!

As we prepare to kick off the school year, this is a reminder to make sure your student(s) is up to date on the required immunizations for Missouri. Please see the attached schedule for those requirements. Contact the Barton County Health Department with any questions you may have.

If you are interested in Elementary Volleyball this year, it is for girls Grades 3-6. Please keep in mind that Jr High Basketball will run at the same time. While you can play both, if we have a Basketball team it will come first as far as practices and games.
The season will start September 10th and end with a tournament on October 22. Practices will be through the week with games on Saturday.

Medical One Clinic in Lamar will be at the school on Thursday, August 4th from 9:00-12:00 to offer free sports physicals. As a reminder, your student athlete must have a physical before they can participate in any athletic activity. This will be the only free opportunity at the school to get physicals before the school year and athletic seasons start. Practice will start for fall sports on August 8th.
