Here are some additional logistical information about our games at Walnut Grove on Tuesday 12/13. Go Eagles! MESSAGE FROM WG's AD ***If you are playing at Walnut Grove, we are having construction on the front of our gymnasium. Please look at the map attached. Spectators and busses will need to park in the main lot and then take the walkway between our gym and Ag buildings to get to the back entrances to our gym. We will have signs up to They can also park by the baseball field and walk behind the high school to get there. All concessions and bathrooms for spectators will be at the softball field which is approximately 100 feet from the entrance. We will have water and bathrooms for all players. We apologize for the inconvenience. If you have any questions please let me know. Because of the inconvenience, we will not be keeping any admission for the games. We appreciate you being flexible on this. It was important for our seniors to try to have a few home games this year, so we are going to try to make it work. In the event that we will have any severe rain or snow, I would move the game to a different location. However, right now both dates look good. Please contact me if you have any questions at 417-619-1585.

Parents as Teachers had a great turnout for their storytime yesterday. The kids listened to a story about Christmas on the farm and then enjoyed fun games and crafts. Thanks to the Optimist Club of Lockwood for sponsoring a new Christmas book for every PAT family! For more information about how your family can be a part of the Golden City program, please visit their Facebook page “Lockwood and Golden City Parents as Teachers”.

We are excited to share with the families in our community about the Parents as Teachers program. Parents as Teachers is a free program for students in the Golden City school district ages prenatal to kindergarten entry. They offer personal visits (at your home or at the school), developmental screenings, and group connections. For more information or to register, please visit their Facebook page at Lockwood & Golden City Parents as Teachers. Amy Schnelle and Sarah Baugh are the coordinators for our district and they would love to have your family be a part of this program.
